(Bonita Springs, Florida) “Everything Classic Is New Again.” helps describe an emerging hybrid genre of timeless Pop music combined with the beauty and drama of Opera, known as Popera. Therefore the apt title of “A Night At The Popera,” heralds a singular brand of entertainment and rare enjoyment of soaring sounds and harmonies.
This distinct sound is created by the blending of three classically trained voices of theatrical professionals at the peak of their craft: Clint Shepherd (tenor), Jolanda Nel (soprano) and Chris Romeo (tenor). “A Night At The Popera” showcases their talent, respect and affection for the revered selections of some of the greatest pop songs of all time. Additional songs included in the evening’s program include Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Love Trio, Somewhere, Hero, Hallelujah, Canto Della Terra, La Voix, I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing, Unchained Melody (Senza Catene) among many others.
